How to use the Digital SLR Quick Start Workshops (3 consecutive weeks)
This is a 3 session workshop that will cover all the must-know and should-know on your Digital SLR camera.
The schedule will be as follow:
Wednesday April 15th, April 22th, April 29nd.
The fee for all 3 workshop is as follow:
125.00 if paid by April 4th
150.00 if paid between April 5th and April 11th
200.00 if paid between april 11th and April 14th.
I will accept paypal payments. If you choose to pay cash on April 15, it will be $200.00.

The workshop will be limited to 15 attendees only.
About the workshop
This workshop will focus primarily on the manual functions of the digital SLR camera. We'll cover each of the different shooting modes (AV, TV or S, M, etc), ISO and white balance settings from the most fundamental aspects of photography to the more complex. You will also familiarize yourself with learning when and how to access these functions from your camera's menu.
Understanding how to effectively use Aperture Priority mode, Shutter Speed Priority mode and Fully Manual mode is crucial to obtaining the best photo in any situation. Becoming more familiar with your camera also includes learning about its limitations and its settings such as ISO, noise, and how adjusting these will affect image quality. From this workshop, you will practical techniques on how to achieve accurate focus and exposure for every photo taken and eliminating those disappointing times when a great photo cannot be salvaged due to poor focusing and/or lighting.

How to use the Histogram to understand "Proper Exposure"
Basic understand of photographic composition
How to effectively apply the Rule of Third
How to use different kinds of Auto-Focus settings
When and how to use Auto-Focus Lock (AF Lock)
How to use different kinds of Light Metering settings
When and how to use Auto-Exposure Lock (AE Lock)
How do different lighting conditions effect the color of your photo? How to effectively adjust the white balance in a photo.
ISO settings and how noise effects image quality
The relationship between megapixels and image quality
JPG and Raw Image formats defined
The different types of lens and their usage
You MUST already own a Digital SLR and it is recommended that you bring your camera with you in all 3 workshop. Since this workshop is about the Digital SLR, it won't be worth your wild to attend this workshop without one. You should also bring in the Instruction Manual for you camera incase we need to reference back to it.
Please bring a notebook/pen for note taking purposes.
