Come with us to one of the best kept secret firework shows in Tokyo!
Including 14,000 fireworks over a beautiful riverside park area in Edogawa. Watch the sun set with dragonflies in the surreal summer sky. There should be plenty of space for everyone and a beautiful show... one of my personal best. Watch a video of last year's show!
DATE: August 3rd (Saturday)
- 15:30PM (first group for riverside picnic and fireworks)
- 18:00PM (second group for only fireworks)
MEETING LOCATION: Akihabara Station, inside the ticket gates near Electric Town Exit. (Photo below!) The nearest station to the fireworks is Koiwa Station but it's too crowded to meet people.
FOOD / DRINKS: Bring your own. I'll be ordering Dominos Pizza to be delivered while we wait for the sun to set and the show to begin.

Meeting Map and Directions:
1. If I miss the initial meetup location, where will you be?
I'll try to post google map coordinates when we find a place to sit and a picture when we get there, but expect limited to no cellphone access and thousands of people. Attempt only if you always found Waldo in Where's Waldo games.
2. What do I bring?
Food and drinks. Bonus points with a yukata too. Extra bonus points if you bring pizza.
3. How many fireworks?
14000 of them. Try to count that. In the first few seconds they launch 1000 at once. You wouldn't want to blink.
4. How long is the show?
75 minutes and it starts at 7:15 to 8:30pm. Walking back however takes well over an hour. So if you have to go home before then, leave early.
5. Where is it?
We will meet at Akihabara Station. See above. But the event will be at Edogawa-ku, Tokyo – on the banks of the Edo-gawa River. Here's a map, you can get to the location from Akihabara station, on the Yellow Chou Train Line. That's why we'll be meeting at Akihabara. (Less crowds)
