UPDATE: A change in time, not location was the overwhelming decision amongst the Yes RSVP's, so we will convene at 5pm tomorrow at the UNLV location! If anyone has ideas on what to possibly do afterwards, they are welcome! Cheers!___________________________________________________
We have not done Greek food in Dining & Vining yet and there are SO many great Greek places to choose from in town, that I let location be my guide and picked a central location across from UNLV. The place is super casual with great food and I have eaten here on numerous occasions. Since it is so casual I am not doing the RSVP fee, but I do expect you to attend if you do RSVP in the affirmative. If you do cancel, please do so at least 3 days prior.
They have a Yelp coupon too and you can grab that here, but I can't guarantee that they will honor it for a group, but it won't hurt to try: http://www.yelp.com/biz/stephanos-greek-and-mediterranean-grill-las-vegas-2
Here is a review from the same page: "I tried the garlic chicken sandwich, lentil rice, and small humus plate. The flavors were fantastic! The garlic was not over powering, nice smoky flavor in the humus, which I found went so well with the sandwich. It came with fries, which were nice and crunchy with a nice tomato aioli to dip in. The rice had a good flavor, not heavy and very satisfying. I ended it with a piece of baklava, which I must say highlighted the entire meal. The baklava was sweet, buttery, flaky, and had such a great texture to bite into. I left full and happy."
I can confirm that the garlic chicken sandwich is great and I usually get a side order of the baba ganoush. They have beer, wine and spirits too, so we can truly dine & vine. The parking is plentiful and the space is open so we will pull tables together based on the RSVP level. Perhaps we can all walk over to the Freakin' Frog for some post dinner entertainment or some other location that suits us.
Looking forward to seeing you at this dinner in June!
