Lunch at Calypso Café in Berry Hill across from 100 Oaks

A member recently brought nachos from Calypso to a movie meetup at my home, and they were delicious.  I visited Calypso for the first time shortly afterwards for more nachos and was also impressed with their vegetarian soup and service.  Let's go there for lunch!  Since they don't take reservations, we need to arrive when they open to sit together.  More information from Calypso's website is below.  I hope you can join us!

Our RSVP policy "When you rsvp yes for a meetup, we ask that you attend or change your rsvp to “no” no later than 24 hours prior to the event. This will allow an opportunity for other members to make a reservation/move from the waiting list to going or allow the event host to call the restaurant and lower the reservation number if necessary. If a member habitually doesn’t attend a reservation or cancels a few hours before the meetup which hurts the chances of others to attend, we may have to remove that member from the group. We also ask that members are courteous to staff at the restaurants we frequent to ensure our group will be welcomed back. Thanks!"

Calypso's last health score was 95 on November 19, 2012. You can look up the history of any restaurant at this website.

Calypso Café offers fast, affordable meals that are good for you!  For over 24 years our restaurants have been serving up our Cuban black beans, bountiful salads, rotisserie chicken, island burgers and vegetarian side items in the Nashville area.  Our mission is simple…high quality, hearty, healthy dishes at a reasonable price in a fun, relaxed and efficient setting.

The best part of what we do is our customers… we know them, and we like them!  They are our best advertising by spreading the word about Calypso, and we are so grateful!  Of course, enthusiasm is contagious; when you have fantastic customers, it’s easy to continue to inspire and retain Calypso staff.  Our customers are active, engaged, and energetic.  They are going places, and we help them stick to their schedule without sacrificing quality or nutrition.

Let’s face it – we all need to Eat Better.  Calypso’s just making it easier.

Probably can't make it that day, but I can't say enough good things about Calypso! Low prices, amazing chicken, huge salads, and great sides (especially the black beans, greens, and sweet potato)

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
