Are you available to attend our events on Sunday afternoons? We typically meet from approximately 4:00pm - 8:30pm almost every Sunday. The movies begin around 4:00pm and after the films, we all walk together to a nearby restaurant for dinner.

Please post a photo of yourself with your meetup profile (a picture of an animal, flower, artwork, an avatar, a distant photo or scenery doesn't count!) Have you posted a clear photo of yourself with your profile? (We need to find you at our events!)

This one isn't a question, but rather clarifies question #4 in case it isn't clear to you. Most people have a photo on their meetup profile. If you click on "My profile" at the top right corner of the screen, you will see if you have a photo or not.
Are you a film lover and a believer in human relationships? I'm organizing this meetup group so we can all enjoy an inspiring movie and talk about its beauty and underlying message.
Each film will be seen at a Santa Barbara movie theater after which we'll have dinner together as a group. We'll see highly acclaimed dramas, romantic comedies, and some Hollywood blockbusters. Some award-winning Foreign, Action, Historical Dramas, Sci-Fi and Indie films will be shown too!
After each movie, we'll talk about the film and our impressions of it. We'll discuss the theme and the actors' performances, and how the movie impacted you on a personal level. A sense of art, and an appreciation of psychology and filmmaking will be helpful (but not required).
This is not a singles group, although singles are welcome to join it. To participate in this group as an active member, please be available to join us on Sunday afternoons from around 4:00pm until around 8:30pm. An RSVP for each movie is a requirement. Suggestions for film screenings are always welcome!
About Your Meetup Organizer
I'm Jay Reiss, a Professional Life Coach and the Organizer of this meetup group. I love movies because in today's world, they provide a technicolor view of how human relationships are conducted. Sometimes inspiring, at other times poignantly touching, some of our greatest films offer meaningful lessons about life. If nothing else, I hope to put a smile on your face!
