Hello DF8ers:

It seems that companies are picking up their hiring again!  That's great news, but are you ready for it??  Our first résumé  workshop was a success and everyone seemed to learn a lot, so I promised I would do it again.  Join us!

Your résumé is the very first impression that the employer has of you.  Are you confident that your résumé represents you in the best light possible?

Did you know...

• Employers spend an average of 10 seconds per resume.

• On the average, employers grant one interview per 245 resumes.

• Some companies receive over 100,000 resumes a year.

• Employers receive between[masked] resumes per newspaper want-ad.

Whether you are a current job seeker or just want to update your résumé, come by for some tips and good practices to increase your chances of getting that interview.

Members: First 8 people to RSVP, no flakers

What to bring:

Your current résumé that you want to work on (please have a hard copy)

• The job ad/job description of the job you are seeking or information about the field you are looking to get into

Notebook and writing utensil to take notes

Looking forward to building awesome résumés with you soon!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
