2013 Hot Chocolate 15K

Hello all you Dirty Girls!

What will you do for Chocolate?  Before you answer that question, you may want to look at what kind of mileage you have been doing these past few months.  15K equals 9.3 miles.  If by mid-February  you have done a half marathon you are pretty much ready for a 15K.  If you haven't done a half marathon, it's still possible for you to train for a 15K if you are routinely doing at least 5 miles a week in under 15 minutes per mile.  However to prepare for the longer distance of 9.3 miles you will need to step up and increase your mileage starting mid-February.

If you are used to the distance but are not doing them in under 15 minutes per mile then I highly recommend you do interval training starting mid-February.  (Dirty Girls train on hills, which is excellent for increasing your speeds.)

Even though it's not until March of 2013 the registration is now open.  THERE ARE NOW 2 MEETUPS POSTED FOR THIS DAY. RSVP HERE IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THE 15K.  Please go to the other meetup on the calendar for the shorter event.

Please note:

** There is a cost to register. For the 15K the fee is $68.00.

** The 15K there is a STRICT time enforcement!! You MUST be able to do a 15 minute mile for the 15K ONLY! Otherwise anyone who has not made it to Morley Field and Florida street by 8:15am, will be given the option to be transported back to the start/finish area or moved up on the course.  ** Hot Chocolate 15 has designated corrals for all registered participants. Your bib will be marked with your assigned corral. Placement is determined by the pace per mile entered during the registration process.  We will still all meetup prior to going to our corrals.  Exact spot to be determined.

** Plus the image attached to this Meetup is the hoodie you'll get if you decide to attend!

To register for the event you can either click on the registration link withing the website.  Poplular events can sell out prior to the race day, so if you are serious about this please register sooner rather than later.

Hope to see some of you there!

Now go get dirty!
