House of Running's Yelp Tour (FREE EVENT)

Are you ready to see Amsterdam in a different light?

House of Running and De Hardloopwinkel are organizing a fun & sporty tour through the city for us - and you can make it as active as you want it to be. You and your team can win by collecting points and it's NOT about finis-time. Exciting huh?! Read on!

We start at 3 PM at De Hardloopwinkel (Olympic Stadion). We will be divided into teams depending on your preference - we have the "I-will-do-a-proper-work-out-runners-team", the "jogging-and-walking-will-do-team", the "I-love-the-Amsterdam-tram-team" etc. So you can make it as sporty and active as you like!

And then..... It's ON; Each team will get a list of clues and a map, you and your team will have a chance to win based on points, not finish time.  So the more creative and cunning you are, the better chance to win! The course will be about 5 km and you can either run, walk, go with tram, bike - whatever you like. There will also be a lot of stopping points, so it's not necessary to run continuously and we have "Opt out" points if anyone would like to cut it short and head directly to the finish, which is cafe Nel (Amstelveld).

Prices are: a free pair of New Balance shoes (!), goodies from De Hardloopwinkel and a free-dinner-voucher.

And anyone can win! So you might be thinking right now "Eeeeeh yes, so eeeeeh? What to expect?" Well, you know us! Leave organizing fun events to us, just RSVP, be on time and be amazed!

We end this adventure at cafe Nel (Amstelveld) where we will enjoy drinks & bites! Afterwards, we're having dinner there with whoever is up for it.

Don't forget to charge your phone beforehand (you'll need that battery) and the dresscode is "sport outfit".

We can't wait for you to experience Amsterdam in a very different way!

So I just wanted to share this tip: since we will end up at Nel on Amstelveld, if you plan to come by bike, it is better to put your bike at Nel, and take the tram to Olympic Stadium (thanks Laurie!)

@Laurie: Thank you so much for quick reply!
Would you mind if I joined your team if you don't have the 4th person? I might end up being by myself since my bf and his friend have a baseball match on Sunday :-/

I guess more people will come by themselves, so I wouldn't worry too much about it :)

I'm organizing it so I won't have a team for myself but I can definitely put you on a great team of people I know. :-) There will be plenty of people coming by themselves and there's no need to have your team in advance. We'll form teams before we start based on if you want to run, walk or cycle. It's a nice way to meet new people. :-)

@Philippine: Hey girl! How many people per team?
    This is so exciting!

Hi Claudette, I'm answering for Philippine. It's groups of 4 and you can form your team there (with our help) or find your team in advance.
