Visit the Meyer May house

Let's visit the Meyer May house! I know that Discover GR has done this before, but it's nice to have a chance for those of us who missed it last time. This is a beautifully restored early 20th century home built by Frank Lloyd Wright, not far from downtown GR. The tour is free, but they've asked that we limit our attendance to 10 people if we're visiting on a Sunday, because there are also walk-ins, and too large a Meetup group would overload them.

It was intriguing. The the friction between various groups in American society leads to greater creativity and a willingness to take risks.

Hey, all. I am looking forward to seeing 10 people on Sunday! And I'm looking forward to meeting the other 24 some other time, ok? (I have somewhat belatedly figured out how to close the RSVPs, but please, please, please don't show up if you are one of the 24 people on the waiting list!!! Thanks!)

Do all of you 32 people on the waiting list realize you're on a waiting list? A waiting list that is 3x larger than the number actually allowed to attend? (I want to say this cheerfully and positively!) Please don't all come at 1:00 on Sunday, because I'm pretty sure that, while the docents won't blink at a FEW extra people, they were pretty firm about not wanting us to bring a large group. The last tour is at 3 p.m., I think, so please think about either trying one of the later times, or stopping by some other day. Check out the Meyer May website for lots of interesting info!

Gee, with 22 on the waiting list, I hope that somebody else organizes another visit! If you went on a Tues or Thurs afternoon, you could make reservations for a larger group.
