Robert Woolery Sr Memorial Pow Wow

Powwow held in/around the Ag Building at the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia, MO July 18th-20th.  I've been going with my parents since I was a kid, but now they are in another state & I'm looking to introduce others to one of my favorite events.  There's lots of vendors, tribal dancing (Friday @ 1pm; Saturday @ 1pm, 3-5pm, & 7pm; & Sunday @ 1pm), & great Indian fry bread.

Since the Ha Ha Tonka trip is on that Saturday, maybe have a group go Sunday morning (some of the vendors start packing up early Sunday afternoon)?

It's approximately 1 1/2 hours to Sedalia, so leaving by 8:30 Sunday morning would put us there by 10, which gives 3 hours to explore & eat before catching the dancing.

Although not quite what I expected, it was a fun day with friends. I have uploaded a few pictures to give you an idea what it was like. Please forgive the poor quality, only had a small pocket camera with me.

See you at the powwow tomorrow! Try to meet at the front entrance (south, I believe - the side facing the road shared with the grandstand) of the Ag Building at 10am. Wear your MOKAN name badge if you have one so that we can recognize one another. Also, you'll want to enter the fairgrounds from 16th St (the old main gate) & drive past the grandstand to get to the Ag Building. If you need help finding the place or can't find us when you get there, feel free to call me at[masked]

My vehicle is already full (Merilee and my fiance David), but we can definitely meet somewhere to caravan/make sure all the drivers have directions.

I am new, but would like to attend this event. Would also like to car pool with someone, as I do not know how or where to meet up etc.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
