I think what we need is each week, BY WEDNESDAY, one person commit to host - arrive early, bring a large blanket and/or extra chairs to save some space and tie helium filled balloons on their chair or bring a tall flag or something to help others to find that week's host / the group.
For a few years COTD was the venue for many awesome meetups with great turn out. But, I used to personally 'host' it every Friday - by host I mean to actively look for & greet arriving or lost meetup members and providing my cell # for members to call or text if they could not find us in the crowd.It helped that everyone knew who to look for and where to look. However, I can no longer commit to every Friday, so I've tried posting a photo of a designated location for members to meetup each week, I even gave out neon ribbons for members to tie on their chairs to help everyone find fellow meetuppers. Even so, each week I'd receive emails from 5-10 people all saying they were the only ONE who showed up.
