Meet for a walk around Belgravia

There are many aspects of London and its people so while many spend time in the City and Docklands etc, few visit the wealthy areas which is why I thought I would start with a walk here. These grand houses have many stories to tell of their own as "Upstairs Downstairs" really did exist and the butlers, maids etc had lots of gossip. Behind the houses are charming mews where we find luxurious expensive converted stables and coach houses.

On this walk we see where some of the rich and famous have lived, one of the smallest and haunted pubs in London and the house where one of the most famous unsolved murders of the 1970's took place. Did you know you could sit in a seance almost any day, you never know what lurks behind the next corner!

As this is my first walk it comes at a reduced rate to be paid at the start.

I'm sorry that it is so late but thank you all for your comments and as the forecast is still rain all day for the next two days I have decided to postpone this walk. If it had been just showers and more people coming then I would have taken a chance and done the walk anyway, it is no fun trying to talk to a crowd in torrential rain.
I am looking forward to meeting most of you on the next walk in the City which will take place and hope that you all have a good weekend despite the weather.

John - have looked at the forecast and see what you mean. I'll go with the consensus of others.

Having looked at 2 different weather forecasts for Saturday afternoon I am concerned if those coming would like to think about postponing the walk - Thunderstorms and heavy rain is forecast for the afternoon with showers most of the day. I see that Linda lives in Great Dunmow and others might have a long journey and it would not be enjoyable in that type of weather. As there are only a few of us it is easy to discuss this and I would like to put something on the site as possible to give all a chance to re-organise the day.
