Today I am taking you on a tour of Southwark & Bankside where I will show you some hidden treasures including a prison wall, a graveyard for the 'outcast' and the site of the original Globe Theatre. Have you heard of the saying 'doing clink' and where it originates from when we see one of the first prisons in London that was part of a palace and I will tell the reason just why Guys Hospital was opened.
For those interested we could finish in a local old pub for a drink and to continue any discussion you wish on the local history or any other part of London.
Looking forward to meeting you and if you wish to contact me on the day my mobile number is:-[masked] or at any other time post a comment on this site.
