Jefferson Starship at Miller Outdoor Theater

rotator_JeffersonStarship.jpg

Jefferson Starship soar into their 40th year in 2014, carrying one of rock music's greatest legacies and halcyon repertoires.

The band continues to perform their repertoire of hits spanning all eras of their existence, including “Jane,” “Somebody To Love,” “Miracles,” “White Rabbit,” “Volunteers,” “Count On Me,” “Find Your Way Back,” “Wooden Ships,” “Today,” “Lather,” “Crown of Creation” and many more.

This is a ticketed event for the covered seating area. Free tickets are available (4 per person over age 16 while they last) at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office the day of the performance between the hours of 10:30am-1pm. If tickets remain at 1pm, the box office will re-open one hour before show time to distribute the remaining tickets. As always, open seating on the hill.

For those new to Miller Outdoor Theater--event is free with grassy hill and free-ticketed amphitheater seatings.   On popular events, ticketed seats are taken, but we won't know till after arrival.  Even the hill might be densely populated, so look for the tall hockey stick marker.

Free parking is available in the Houston Zoo  parking lot.  Museum of Natural History has paid parking.   If Zoo Parking lot is filled, I've always found free parking on S. Main near Medical Center (be careful though).

Chen, Event Organizer, will be on hill near 7PM.    It would be great if others showed up early as well.   At 7:30PM, we will decide whether to try to get tickets or not.    At 8PM, we will further decide whether to try to attain open seating.

Chen's phone number is 281 eight 04 six 246, but it is sometimes difficult to hear rings when noisy.   His smartphone's Internet hub is out of action, but usually some member will post updates.

Look for hockey stick and/or flashing red light.

I had a great time, but I did not see anyone from this group. I didnt think I would being outdoors and this many RSVP's. Nonetheless, minus the mosquitos, all went well. However, they did not play We built this city, I thought they would after the encore. I was still happy to hear white rabbit, sombody to love, finding way back, come love, come now, etc

On popular events, consider coming early because Zoo parking lot can fill up. Also, I would appreciate some early arrival help, as we need some people on the hill to reserve space and others to see if we can attain sufficient free tickets.

Bring earplugs, if we happen to get tickets. :)

    Weather forecast looks good. http://www.weather.com/weather/hourbyhour/graph/Houston+TX+USTX0617:1:US

I'll have some tarp. If rain, this usually means more likely to get amphitheater seats. 8PM shows sunny forecast.

At 6:30PM, I will no longer have web access. Call me, if necessary 832 four 0 eight five 5 31.

    Thanks,

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
