We are creating a community of HIV+ guys who also enjoy eating out, meeting over coffee, going to movies, going to cultural events, and making new friends.
Our meet up locations are usually in the Orange County area, but we are of course open to members from all over.
Our MEETUP NAME IS "THE WARRIORS".
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: I am concerned about maintaining my privacy and discretion for this group. Should I join?
A: Our group settings are not visible to non-members. However, I do recommend not using a last name or a photo if privacy is of a central concern.
We request all members maintain discretion about other members’ HIV status or any other private information.
Q: Is there a fee for joining the group?
A: There are no fees. Membership is free of charge. When we go out to eat or to movies, each member is responsible for his or her expenses.
Q: Are there limitations to group discussions/message boards?
A: We request that members refrain from making controversial statements regarding politics, law and order, religion, or x-rated discussions. We would like to feel every member feel welcome.
Q: I am looking to meet folks to date/have sexual encounters with/marry….Is this the group for me?
A: The primary focus of this group is social. Many but not all members join the group in order to meet potential dates as well as new friends. We hope that this group serves as a meaningful alternative to the internet and bars.
Q: I am in recovery from alcohol/substance addiction. Would I feel out of place?
A: Many members imbibe alcohol at group functions (lunches, dinners, parties). We do have members who are in recovery and/or do not drink. We encourage everybody to drink responsibly and highly discourage drinking and driving- it’s dangerous and illegal.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
