After over 20 years, Disneyland is retiring the Billy Hill & the Hillbillies musical group. Their actual last day is Monday the 6th, but we will take this final weekend opportunity to show our support and enjoy the Billys' special music and fun. You can learn much more about the Billys at their website: http://thebillys.net/
Let's meet at the petrified tree near the Mark Twain dock across from the Golden Horseshoe Saloon (where the Billys have performed thousands upon thousands of times over the years). We will then head up the trail to the Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree, where the Billys are scheduled to perform at 3:00, 4:00 and 5:00, and enjoy the afternoon with them. After the final 5:00 show we may stay on and do more rides and activities in the park.
Also, people are free to show up earlier if they wish. I think the Billys will be performing at 11:15 am, 12:15 and 1:15 pm as well. Talk about it in the comments.
Additionally, my understanding is that the Billys actual final day will be Monday the 6th. I don't want to set another formal Meetup for that, but if people do want to attend on Monday as well and be there for the actual final performances, we can plan that out in the comments or in the Discussions area as well. (I am going to try to be there on Monday myself, and would love to have others join me.)
And let's make this a Dress Like A Hillbilly Day to really show our support for Kirk and the boys! If you've got overalls, a felt hat, funny teeth, whatever, let's share the Hillbilly love!
