Mental Health & Behaviour change

Don't miss this provocative discussion on how behaviour change can transform Mental Health.

We have a great lineup of speakers that will prompt a provocative discussion on this subject:

Mark Brown: Editor of One in Four Magazine, England's only national mental health and wellbeing magazine written by people who experience mental health difficulties.

Stuart Arnott: Founder of Mindings, an award winning intervention for people with Alzheimers. There are some interesting learnings on how subliminal messaging can play a role via tech ...to influence behaviour

Dr Eva Cyhlarova: Head of Research, Mental Health Foundation. Following a D.Phil. in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford, Eva worked as a Senior Research Scientist at the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics in Oxford. She pursued research in several scientific fields related to mental health, managing a number of large-scale projects.

We will serve light refreshments as usual and the plan for the day will be

- 6.30 to 7pm: Networking

- 7 to 7.45pm: Panel discussion

- 7.45 to 8.30pm: Q&A

- 8.30 to 9pm: Networking

I left the MeetUp inspired like always but mental health definitely uncovered new thoughts.

Lots of stimulating thoughts and info from our panelists. Thought the info on ramifications of loneliness from Stuart Arnott from Mindings very interesting. Info from Mark from One in Four and Eva and Elise from Mental Health Foundation really made me aware that we need to change the way we think about mental health problems. Need fresh thinking for effective help/support/solutions.

Still working through the many issues the group touched on. I took a lot away from the evening.

I enjoyed the discussion, but found it was monopolised by one of the panel members which meant that we didn't get to hear from the others. Shame it overran as well as I live out of town so had to rush off before I could chat with anyone.

Unfortunately urgent project deadlines have overcame the loss aversion tied to the £5 deposit. Hopefully will be able to make the next one in future. Be good if there are any slides could be uploaded.
    Thanks
