Get Acquainted with the Motherpeace Tarot

March 6, 2014 Motherpeace Tarot Cards: A Contemporary Women's Oracle
Featuring Vicki Noble, M.A., Professor, Writer, Astrologer, Artist.

Fee: $15 on-line, $20 at the door.

The Motherpeace cards, co-created by Vicki Noble with Karen Vogel, were first published in 1981. Now they’ve made their way around the world, linking thousands of women (and some men) across language barriers through sharing their matriarchal symbols and historical narratives.

These round feminist cards can be read for divination from the images alone, without any knowledge of Tarot. They can also be studied as part of the system of Tarot and understood within that more formal context.

In this evening event, Vicki Noble will offer an introduction to these images that hold so much ancient knowledge, helping contemporary women find their place in history. Bring a question for the cards!

Vicki Noble has written several books, including Shakti Woman and The Double Goddess, and co-created the Motherpeace Tarot deck. Vicki is a professor at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto in the Women's Spirituality Masters program. Currently, Vicki is available to provide private astrological consultations (individuals, couples, and families), over the phone or in person. A wonderful treat is to visit Vicki in person at her home in Santa Cruz for one of her Woman's Spirituality Tutorials which includes tarot readings, women centered spiritual practices, and a favorite: the making of a Dakini collage.

I came curious and discovered a love for reading them and left with a pack of lovely cards! How very cool to meet the maker of the Motherpeace Deck! Your events are the best, Joy. What a service to our community to connect with spiritual women doing powerful things in our area!
