DockerCon Hackathon

IMPORTANT: Please remember to bring your ID.

Docker is organizing a hackathon during the week-end before DockerCon. The prize for the winners is a ticket for DockerCon and a chance to present their project during the conference.

As a Team of 1 to 3 hackers you will hack on a project using Docker as the central piece. You will have exactly 24 hours to complete this project. These 24 hours include the time to create all materials needed for your presentation.

At the end of the 24h, you will have 90 seconds to present your project.

It is not allowed to start the project before the hackathon. However, we encourage you to think of the idea before coming to the hackathon.

While It is free to enter the DockerCon hackathon, you still have to complete the form with accurate information when registering (first name, last name, email and company). The DockerCon hackathon is limited to the first 100 RSVP. Please do not register if you are not sure to come.

Even-though it is better to know about Docker before joining the hackathon, anyone can join.

The 3 winning team will be offered:
- A ticket for DockerCon for each of the team members
- A chance to present their project at DockerCon

The hackathon will take place at the Docker HQ, 180 sansome st., 16th floor.
During the event, several Docker employees will be there to answer technical questions and help you with using and tuning your Docker project.

Saturday. June 7th
3pm: Doors open
3pm to 5pm: Find a team and an idea
5pm: Opening words by the Docker team
5:15pm: Start hacking!

Is it possible to come in Sunday afternoon and see the results? I'm coming into town. from Texas, on the 8th for the cloud foundry summit and the gradle summit that week, but would be very interested in seeing the results of the hackathon. I just learned about Docker, but haven't really had any chance to see it in action yet.

Are there any fixed criteria we'll be judged on?

Is it safe to assume we'll be able to stay at Docker HQ the whole time? Meaning there's no need to book a hotel for Saturday night...

Of course, we'll all be able to stay at Docker HQ throughout the night
