ABOUT THE FILM

An African American gospel choir is the Greek chorus for a Palestinian production of a U.S. play on Martin Luther King that tours the West Bank.  In the context of nonviolence, a personal and cultural exchange unfolds in which, over the course of the journey, American and Palestinian preconceived ideas about each other are radically transformed. Al Helm is Arabic is for “The Dream.” Filmmaker Connie Field will be present for Q & A after each screening

TWO IMPORTANT NOTES

(1) RSVPing through Meet-Up does not guarantee a ticket to this screening.  You must purchase tickets on your own directly from FilmFestDC.  The festival is very popular and many films often sell out, so we recommend you purchase in advance online.  Tickets are $11 plus handling fees.

(2) The Meet-Up Organizer has another commitment that same night.  If members want to organize your own Meet-Up to discuss the film after the screening, please note where you'd like to Meet-Up in your RSVP.  However, there will not be a Meet-Up organizer with a sign to round folks up.
