Docs In Progress is pleased to be a co-sponsor of FilmFest DC's screening of Beyond The Walls.
This screening is part of FilmFest DC's Justice Matters series and is co-sponsored by Docs In Progress, ArtWorks for Freedom, Center for Media & Social Impact, American University, GWU Documentary Center, Women in Film & Video
ABOUT THE FILM
In Beyond The Walls public murals depict stories of social justice and community on walls in the West Bank, Northern Ireland, Liberia, El Salvador, Argentina, Australia, and the United States. It’s a moving study of the restorative power of art in public for people whose stories are underrepresented and those in post-conflict situations. Director/producer Gayle Embrey will be present for Q & A after each screening.
TWO IMPORTANT NOTES
(1) RSVPing through Meet-Up does not guarantee a ticket to this screening. You must purchase tickets on your own directly from FilmFestDC. The festival is very popular and many films often sell out, so we recommend you purchase in advance online. Tickets are $11 plus handling fees.
(2) The Meet-Up Organizer has another commitment that same night. If members want to organize your own Meet-Up to discuss the film after the screening, please note where you'd like to Meet-Up in your RSVP. However, there will not be a Meet-Up organizer with a sign to round folks up.
