Announcing a new Meetup for Docs In Progress (Documentary Films and Filmmaking)!

What: FREE Work in Progress Screening at the Utopia Film Festival

When: October 24,[masked]:00 PM

Greenbelt Municipal Building
25 Crescent Road
Greenbelt, MD 20770

Come join other documentary fans at one of Docs In Progress' work-in-progress screenings. Now in its fifth year, the work-in-progress screenings series allows documentary filmmakers to get valuable feedback on their films while also providing film fans a fun and educational way to be involved in the creative process. After the film screens, Docs In Progress founders Adele Schmidt and Erica Ginsberg will moderate a feedback session with the audience. This workshop-style approach of a filmmaker receiving honest but constructive feedback from peers is aimed at helping the filmmaker get through creative and storytelling blocks to be able to complete their films to their best potential.

This program is being presented as part of this year's Utopia Film Festival in Greenbelt, Maryland.

Hands of Harvest (one hour rough cut)
by Adrian Muys
Watermen of Maryland's Eastern Shore and Mexican women migrant workers become unwittingly bound together to save the iconic American industry of crab fishing.

This program is co-sponsored by Docs In Progress and the Utopia Film Festival. This work-in-progress screening is also supported by a grant from the Maryland State Arts Council, an agency dedicated to cultivating a vibrant cultural community where the arts thrive.
