Executives' Breakfast: Maximizing Your In-Person Requests for the Annual Appeal

The end of the calendar year is the busiest and the most productive fundraising time for many nonprofits, especially larger organization that rely on fundraising to fund operations or specific core activities. By capitalizing on the momentum of the holiday season and making time-sensitive (and sometimes financially advantaged) requests related to the end of the year, nonprofits of all sizes are able to maximize their fourth quarter to bolster their budgets.

How can nonprofit executives - Board Presidents, Executive Directors, and Development Directors - best prioritize their time and structure their activity to reap the biggest rewards?

Join Avrum Lapin, Senior Partner and Director, and Director of Communications Lansie Sylvia from the EHL Consulting Group for a special Executives’ Breakfast customized for lay and professional executive nonprofit leaders, and hosted by the Regional Foundation Center in the Free Library.

We will discuss the most effective allocation of executive time, and the best time management strategies and research techniques that can help executive leaders focus on essential one-to-one  "asks" to make this year’s fourth quarter the most successful one yet!

The fire alarm was untimely, however up to that point this was an event that I needed to attend. Thank you Lansie and Avrum for putting this together - it was great information!

Incredibly useful information that can be implemented right away. I know we were cut short by the fire alarm, but I think a useful exercise would be for us to share examples of personal successes in the field--on any topic that is discussed.

Absolutely! We had planned for a "success story share-out" but got cut short. Next time, for sure!

Thrilled to see so many new faces! Yes, the fire alarm was problematic, but up until that point the conversation was RED HOT! (See what I did there?) Excellent questions. Feel free to email more questions you may have to either myself or Avrum at lsylvia[at]ehlconsulting[dot]com or alapin[at]ehlconsulting[dot]com. Good luck with those end-of-year requests, and we'll see you on November 6th!

Very interested. Do you have to be in an executive position to attend?

Not for every workshop we guide, but for this one, we recommend it.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
