Social Media for Nonprofits - An Update for 2014

Online communication for nonprofits has also evolved over the years, yet the purpose is still the same: to communicate compelling information to a variety of stakeholders and donors.

Although new technologies like Vine, Instagram, and Snapchat can seem overwhelming, keeping in mind that the central purpose of these new messaging systems is the enhanced ability to tell a story will help many leaders stay enthusiastic about new technologies, not fearful of them.

Join David Gloss and Lansie Sylvia from Here's My Chance as we discuss what social media platforms are best utilized for nonprofits in 2014 and beyond, and co-educate each other on techniques to help every nonprofit tell its story with technology!

Hi, for some reason my status was changed to "not going" though I did attend this morning! It was very helpful and informative. Thanks again!

Great meeting today, all! For reference, here is the Digital Audit we use when we first evaluate our clients. Good questions to consider if you're embarking on a new social media program:

Are there management platforms that provide free/discounted services to social media teams of non-profits? Really looking forward to your talk! <3

Since social media is imperative for spreading info fast about one's company. How and when does one draw the line between what is a personal reflection on sm like vine and what is proper business imagery?

Quick note, all: instead of the Regional Foundation Center, we'll be meeting next week in Room 108 at the Library. Same place, different room. Looking forward to meeting all of our wonderful new members and reconnecting with everyone!
