During this panel discussion, moderated by Nancy Dunleavy (Founder and CEO, Dunleavy & Associates) key players from the leading board preparatory programs throughout Greater Philadelphia will have a frank conversation regarding the generational gaps experienced on boards and how to improve them. The moderator raised interesting questions and kept the panel on task, while the panelists were clearly bright, knowledgeable, and creative. I certainly hope they inspire others, who participated in this event, to consider joining boards throughout Philadelphia: it is clearly work that needs new energy, new people, and new directions.

Is there a list of programs/organizations that train young leaders for board engagement and if so, could it be posted? If not, would it be something that someone could put together?

We will be in ROOM 405 - take the elevator, and then make a left, down the end of the hallway.

It seems to me that, in any board, 1/3 are enthusiastic active, 1/3 are good-intentioned but not as active as perhaps they could be, and you wonder why the remaining 1/3 are members (or if they are even still breathing.) So what is the best way to mobilize the middle 1/3?
