I represent Gun Violence Survivors Foundation. GVS Foundation successfully obtained 501(c)(3) status in mid-August of 2013. Our Foundation operates using a crowdfunding business model to support the individual needs of Survivors of gun violence. We are still in the startup phase, but believe it is vital to have a transparent charitable model to retain the trust of our current and future donor base as we grow! Crowdfunding allows our Foudantion to create custom campaigns to address the specific needs of a Survivor of gun violence and allow donors to realize the immediate impact they made in the life of a Survivor in their time of need. The larger our Foundation is able to grow, the greater the IMPACT we will have made in the lives of Survivors.

Our current challenges are finding vital Sponsorship and Partnerships with for-profit industries as we move forward. We are looking to partner with for-profit organizations who are able to make in-kind donations for our Foundation to distribute to donor(s) who contribute past certain thresholds ($50+, $100+, $500+, $1,000+, etc). If you know or happen to be a business willing to participate in helping our Foundation fulfill its mission, in supporting Survivors of gun violence heal, please, do not hesitate to reach out.
