What organization are you representing?

How to write good grants to foundations and set up good appeals. Also, simply want to meet others informally who are in this line of work

What is your position within your organization?

I've been running JAMBO International for 17 years. We have weekly events which raise money for environmental and human development groups, with the motto HAVING FUN DOING GOOD. We recently set up an NPO in Kentucky to help us become more self-sustaining, and now have our 501C3 status application handed in. I'm interested in Philly because it's a home away from home and I hope to do some integrated programs between Philly and Tokyo.

What topic areas would be most helpful for you (or your org!) to learn about?

Seeing foundations in the States that support active leadership in Non-profits internationally.

What is your email address?

How did you learn about this group?

JAMBO Volunteer Meetup was kindly written up along with Dollars and Sense recently. You look like the perfect group for us to get in touch with.

I'm David Howenstein, Director of JAMBO International in Tokyo, Japan and JAMBO LLC in the US. I'll be in Philly June 26 & 27 nights and hope to meet some of you to learn since we just formed in the US.
