The Seattle International Film Festival is showing the critically acclaimed anime film "Wolf Children" on June 1st, 11AM at SIFF Uptown Cinema! "Wolf Children" is directed by Mamoru Hosoda, who also directed the fantastic "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" & "Summer Wars" films. WC looks to be another thoughtful/thought-provoking entry in the vein of that very worthy line-up, brought to life in lush theatrical animation rivaling Studio Ghibli's. Check out the trailer & info on SIFF's page here: http://www.siff.net/festival-2013/wolf-children
Note: We're going for the 11AM showing, but I've set the meetup time for 15 minutes prior--SIFF is very strict about not seating latecomers!
Tickets are $7.00 $5.00 with promo code FAMILY2013 (+ $1.25 service fee for buying online)--everyone buy your own and we'll meet 15 minutes prior at the SIFF box office. There's a terrific sushi restaurant just a few doors down (Sam's Sushi), so if there's some interest, we can continue on there to have a late lunch & talk about the film. :)
5/15 Update: Added a promo code to get $2 off your ticket purchase. ;-)
