Douglas County Scrapbooking Group is a community of ladies in Douglas County and surrounding areas with a genuine interest in scrapbooking, card making or papercrafting in general that meet for crops (with free quick demos) the first Friday of every month in Parker from 5:00pm-9:30pm to work on our projects (child-free). 

I post videos of our retreats and swaps on YOUTUBE!  Just search MissPurplePotato on YouTube to view all of them!  Please subscribe and leave a comment.  They are amateur but you'll get an idea of what our group is all about. 

You don’t have to live in Douglas County to join! Meet others that share the same passion for paper for a fun-filled time of great conversation.  My hope is that it will become a wonderful group to share, inspire, and learn something new from each other while working on our projects, free of charge.  There is no selling at our crops nor do I allow using this site to promote businesses like Creative Memories, Stampin Up, Close To My Heart, etc.  Unfortunately if I allowed it for one, I'd have to allow it for all and I simply don't want our ladies ever to feel like they need to buy something.  

Since we meet around dinner time, please feel free to bring your dinner and/or beverage.  There is a snack table set up for those wanting to bring snacks to share.  I think you'll find our group very inviting.  It's been such a heartwarming experience and we welcome all skill levels. 

We have quick, free demos at each crop starting promptly at 6:30pm (to allow for those arriving late), either by myself, a member of our group or an invited guest.  It's fun to learn something new each time.  We try to keep the demos under 15 min. so we can get back to working on our projects. 

I also post "Field Trips" (like in grade school!) to various craft related shops and/or events around Colorado, "Swaps" (an annual gift tag swap at Christmas time for example) at least two Weekend Retreats a year to get away and create.  These little extras spice things up a bit and are a fun way to get to know each other even better.   These extra activities are totally optional, depending on your schedule. 

A couple times a year we'll have a Swap table set up at our crop where you can bring an unwanted scrapbook item and trade it for something else on the table.  

Join our Scrapbook Meetup Group where we share our talents, creative ideas and learn new techniques from each other.  We enjoy seeing what other members are working on, while making new friends.  It is an atmosphere that we all look forward to each month.
