I grew up climbing, but then stopped about 10 years ago. I'm just now getting back into it, so I can't say exactly what I'm capable of yet. With that said, I used to lead 5.10c/d and TR the high 11's. I'm primarily a sport climber, but I've worked just about every type of problem one can imagine and I have years of belay experience in all sorts of fun scenarios.
So far in Chicago, I've only been to V.E. As for the real world, I've been to Yosemite (including an epic on Half Dome -- ask me about it sometime if you like peril), Joshua Tree, Bishop (Happy Boulders and Sad Boulders), Point Dume (overhanging beach bouldering), Stoney Point, Owens River Gorge, Taquitz and Suicide, Big Rock (aptly named), and dozens of other areas across the Southwestern US.
I live in Lakeshore East. You don't even know where that is, do you? You have saddened me...
African or European? The only other acceptable answers are "42" and excessively detailed physics. Bonus points for working in a Feynman diagram.
I'm a software engineer, autodidact, and perpetual introvert who's been living in Chicago for a little over a year. I'm painfully dry and sarcastic -- you probably won't like me. If you do then you are an exemplary human being... we should hang out.
