Usually, I've got a couple of books going at once. Whenever I'm in a library or bookstore, I long for retirement. SO many I want to read...
I just read The Tenth of December by George Saunders, so that's my recent favorite. The Brothers K is right up there. Poisonwood Bible. Team of Rivals. Glass Castle. Oh, you said "one." Sorry, can't do it.
Coffee. With cream.
Biographies and Memoirs...Political...Novels that make for internal wrestling.
Tough call. Books always smell like books. Sometimes the paper is better than others. So, reliably: Smell.
Unfortunately no - I just got a double fracture on my right leg - so I'm worried about getting legs ready for the Machu Picchu hike.
The Camino is very rewarding - the cry of the Pilgrims "Mas Tinto"
Susan, I've just read that you are planning on doing the Camino - I walked just the last 2 days - met up with a friend that was finishing - took her a month to hike it - It's on my list and Sept is when she did it also, bring rain gear.
- I'm hiking up to Machu Picchu in June and am looking to do this Camino in 2015. Have a great time.
