Holiday Event: Happy Hour at Prohibition

Important Updates:

• Prohibition's event policies are a little weird, so I think we can fit some more people in, and there will be free hors d'oeuvres compliments of your host!

• Please still change your RSVP if you're not coming!

• Also, this is a holiday party of sorts, feel free to dress up a little -  it's that kind of place.  We don't have a dress code of course, but it might be fun for a change.  I need somewhere to wear the Christmas tie my aunt gave me...

The Happy hour menu is here and surprisingly affordable.  Till 7PM....

IMPORTANT NOTE: No-shows generally aren't a problem for this group; we're fairly casual. However, this venue has limited space and a food&beverage minimum. If you RSVP yes and can't make it, please change your response so someone else can attend!

This venue reminded me of Plato's Allegory of the Cave, I don't know why; perhaps the lights of the city cast the shadows of buildings onto the beautifully wood-paneled walls of prohibition or maybe my martini was just too or the other.....

Indeed. You go into a dark room, and you think you are trapped there, chained in by the cheap and strong drinks. But then the happy hour ends, and you realize you are free to leave anytime you want to wander out into freezing cold. The only question is: why would you want to?

Wouldn't ya know, I join a day late. What's that saying, a day late and a dollar short. Couldn't be any more fitting for this one. Anyway, I'm on now and hopefully I can meet some new wonderful people at the next event.

Pretty cool. A bit spread out so we couldn't see everyone at once, but minor issue.

I enjoyed having our own room for the group and the appetizer buffet was awesome especially the chocolate strawberries! Yum!

Nice venue. Good food. Reasonable and extravagant drinking and dining options. Nice mix of new and familiar faces. Looking forward to the next event.

What is the Maximum Number of people that the location can hold? Plus I bet only 65-75 percent of the 63 will actually show.

I know it's a little pricey but it will be nice for our Holiday Gathering.

I always thought that too, but the happy hour specials are pretty reasonable: $5 drinks & appetizers.
