DTLA Tech Salon - Crowdfunding: Angel Investors for Everyone

Join us as we unlock the secrets of a new financing tool that allows existing small businesses and high-growth startups alike to leverage this tool to develop a clear competitive advantage.

The Jobs Act of 2012 will for the first time allow businesses of all shapes, sizes and industries to access angel investment in return for equity to fuel their ventures while harnessing new online platforms for marketing, communicating and fundraising.

Whether you're running a small business or a fast growing tech startup, our crowdfunding salon connects you with industry experts and proven entrepreneurs who will share tips and techniques to harness this new tool and provide valuable insight on the rules and regulations to consider.

We will be at the Los Angeles Center Studios, home to acclaimed series including Mad Men, Southland and Disney's Shake It Up. A pre-event studio tour will be at 9 a.m.

Great event yesterday! I thought the event was very informative on the future of the $300B market of crowdfunding, and how the next phase of Obama's Jobs Act could revolutionize seed/angel investing. We had about 100+ people in the room with standing room only once the event started. This was my first time at LA Center studios and during the tour of the facilities the group saw Don Draper from Mad Men with his entourage. I hope those of you who made it enjoyed the event, and look forward to the follow up workshop we'll be doing next month on how to have a successful crowdfunding campaign (email me for more details [masked]). Feel free to leave me any feedback and I'll do my best to implement it for the next event which will be May 15th in downtown again (Topic: How to win big contracts or get acquired by large corporations; Sponsored by Ernst & Young, Delta, Microsoft, NBC Universal, and the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce)
