Join us at CraveLab for a night of wine, cheese, snacks and of course pitching (for practice). We're aiming to bring together a small group of start-ups, techies, entrepreneurs and even hopeful entrepreneurs who live in downtown LA.  This is a chance to meet and greet as well as an opportunity to practice pitching to a group.  Don't think we'll let you go into an investor room without practicing and refining your pitch at least 20 times! We're hosting the event at a coworking space that recently opened called CraveLab in DTLA. We'll also be hosting future events on subjects including "Business Model Generation Pitch," "Co-founder Evaluation," and "Feasibility Analysis."

If you're planning on having a drink or two, please bring $5 to help cover costs (there'll be beer too).

Our schedule will be to meet and greet for about an hour from 5:30PM - 6:30PM, and loosen up with some drinks while we're at it.  Then, starting at 6:30PM we'll allow people the opportunity to pitch their ideas for 3 minutes each.  We will then open up the discussion to everyone in the group to give feedback!

Please sign up in the comment section of this event if you would like to throw out a pitch.  It'll be on a first come first serve basis limited to the first 10 people.  If you're not able to make this event, no worries we'll have more of these in the future!

CraveLab is conveniently located in Downtown, Los Angeles at the corner of 2nd St and Figueroa St at the Promenade Towers.

About CraveLab:

We are a few entrepreneurs and designers who expanded our current office into a collaborative space/office to provide a working space for others like us, including start-ups and organizations.

We aim to have an active community who thrive to network with others like ourselves and sometimes find the need to collaborate, share with, and support one another in this new age of the "mobile office." Our collaborative spaces and micro-offices are most ideal for individuals or teams who feel confined or distracted working from their homes and simply need a desk away from home without any long-term lease commitments and office management headaches or fees.

We aim to be a professional but energetic and fun environment where you can cost-effectively hold a small meeting or hash-out a group work session.

Check us out at and friend us on Facebook (!  Yelp or Foursquare us as well :)  Search "CraveLab" on Google Maps for direction guidance.

Free Wi-Fi
Large Common Area Tables
Large Whiteboards

I would like to consider doing a pitch. What are the criteria for the pitch? Does it have to be something that I am starting up or can it be a product/service that I am involved with that I think the group may find interesting. Maybe if I can get a little more info on what the purpose of this session is, I think that will help too. Also, if I have 2 things, will I be able to share both or do I just choose whichever i want? Thanks again for the invite. This is exciting. I am looking forward to meeting & joining everyone at the meetup.

Hi Sean, this is great I definitely am going to try to make it.

I work at the Microsoft Store in Century City where we offer a free venue space for small businesses, techies, entrepreneurs and meetup groups to host events at NO CHARGE from networking mixers, class trips, girl scout and boy scout badging, camps, Windows/Office workshops for your group or organization, fundraisers and a myriad of other types of events. If you or anyone is interested please, feel free to contact me via email [masked] or 310.228.3550.

    All the Best,

I'd love to try a pitch. I'm working on a very simple 2nd language learning application for preschoolers. It's narrative based, both educational and entertainment. Prototype has been concept tested in Europe. Let me know if that fits into your event. thanks.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
