3D Printing: Next Steps To Support Local Low Volume Manufacturing

  • Feb 13, 2014 · 7:30 PM
  • MakerBot Store

***THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED***

At this month's Dragon Hardware Hangout, we're going on a field trip! The subject is 3D Printing so it's only appropriate that we're surrounded by this awesome technology - thanks to our friends at MakerBot, we'll convene at the store on Newbury Street. Scott will give a talk on 3D Printing and its role in local low volume manufacturing and will leave plenty of time for questions and discussion. Please bring any projects you've been working on! After the presentation we'll have show and tell where the Dragon Innovation Team and other attendees can give you design and manufacturing advice for your project. You'll also have the opportunity to play in the 3D Photo Booth - 360 degree head scans, anyone?!

Finally, please note that the event starts a little later than usual in consideration of retail hours. We'll have snacks and beverages but you should grab dinner either before or after (we'll let you know where we'll be hanging closer to the event).

Very much looking forward to seeing you there!

Hi Everyone, the rescheduled date for the meetup is Monday, February 24th, 7:30pm. If you rsvp'd yes for last night's event, consider yourself RSVP'd for 2/24 unless you can't make it. I'll create a new meetup page shortly but just wanted to make it clear that the new page is for communications purposes for the group that was already committed to attend. We cannot open the RSVPs beyond that (sorry!!). Andy and Matt, we'll take care of you.

I changed my RSVP to a no just before it was cancelled - I hope I can still get in to the rescheduled event...

Hi all, just making sure that the word completely gets out - we will not be holding the vent tonight. We will be in touch with a rescheduled date as soon as possible. Thanks so much.

The weather (and the wife) will be keeping me away tonight :(

Just had to cancel. I'll head into the shop next week, I still want to see a little more of this but tonight just isn't going to work like I'd hoped.

Was going to be bringing Gary Grimard. As it turns out he is going to fair better in the snow then I. Reduced my plus one, he is going in my stead. Have fun!

Hi everyone, We're excited for tomorrow's event! Unless the forecast dramatically shifts, we're on. If for any reason your plans have changed, you don't like yucky weather, or one of your plus 1s can no longer make it, please adjust your reply accordingly. We have quite a few people on the wait list, so do the right thing! : )

    Until tomorrow…
