Visit the Hunterian Museum

Please note numbers limited to 30 on this meetup. The Hunterian Museum is a small but very interesting museum in Lincoln Inns Fields.  It is part of the Royal College of Surgeons.  It houses some very strange specimens which make good drawing subjects and is generally a peaceful place to sketch.  If the weather is kind there are some nice trees in Lincoln Inn Fields just outside the Museum.

Entry to the museum is free but they do suggest that when in a group a donation of £3 per person would be appreciated.  As the numbers are limited, if you do sign up but then change your mind please let us know so that someone else on the waiting list can take your place.  The nearest tube station is Holborn but check with TFL for any engineering works on the day.  My mobile no is[masked] if you arrive late.  Please text me rather than ringing so as not to disturb other people in the museum.  We will then meet up at 16.00 and adjourn to a nearby pub to review our work over a pint.

It was my first time and I found it an enjoyable and productive day. Thanks for organising it. I felt much more confident sketching in public as part of a group :-)

I only enjoyed drawing the dead in jars and nothing else :) & :(
same vibe as usual, but the museum is so intriguing that dwarf the living roaming and staring through glasses and jars. I will come back for more studies and new artworks.

think I'll pass on this one, as I've already been, on another Meetup. and numbers are finite. not very well known, but worth a visit, the exhibits are...well , .....you will see,..... they are strictly inanimate, so would be great for sketching, i would think, - dont miss the huge skeleton, and dont forget to hand in your pass at the end! (which i nearly didnt ). have fun, folks.
