Announcing a new Meetup for Drawing London on Location!

What: The Hunterian Museum

When: Saturday, October 23,[masked]:45 AM

Where: Outside Holborn Tube Station
Kingsway
London

This meetup will be at the Huntarian Museum on Lincoln's Inn Fields, not far from Holborn tube station.

The Hunterian is a collection of exhibits that show some of the history behind modern surgery. It's made up of the personal collection of famous surgeon and anatomist John Hunter, and includes lots of little oddities such as deformed skeletons, preserved body-parts and animal specimens.

Have you ever thought to yourself "when oh when will I find an opportunity to draw the pickled remains of an infant sloth"? Well here's your chance.

Entry is free, and if you'd like a closer look at the interiors then click this link (http://www.rcseng.ac.uk/about/virtual_tours/museum.html). It's difficult to describe this place in detail without making it sound gruesome, all I'll say is that the last time we went everyone was very pleasantly surprised.

The Hunterian is a bit of a gem, and is often overlooked by tourists which means it is usually fairly quiet. If the weather brightens up there is the option to draw outside in Lincoln's Inn Fields.

The starting time is the usual 10:45, and as usual I will email my number to those who have RSVP'd on Friday and again on Saturday morning in the event there are any people signing up late.
