Announcing a new Meetup for Drawing London on Location!
What: Museum mash-up
When: August 15,[masked]:00 AM
Natural History Museum
Current proposal for next weeks meetup (in the absence of one this week) is a trip to the Natural History museum, with a possible trip across the road to the Victoria and Albert Museum, or next door to the Science Museum. Talk about convenient!
The session will start at the slightly later time of 11am. The closest tube station in South Kensington, and a handy map can be found here: http://www.nhm.ac.uk/visit-us/getting-here/index.html
The current plan for the following week is a trip into the city to visit the Gherkin the surrounding area. The surrounding area includes the Lloyds building, some of the oldest churches in the city, the oldest synagogue in Britain, and the eerily vacant (during any given weekend) and remarkably ornate Leadenfield market. Lots of variety and hardly any disturbance from passers-by, which will make a change from drawing in Trafalgar Square.
So...the museums will be on the 15th Aug at 11am, outside the natural history museum, and the trip into the city will be on the 22nd. More specific details will be posted soon.
p.s. check out the messageboard threads to share comments and ideas about these meetups, future meetups and anything else you can think of.
