Announcing a new Meetup for Drawing London on Location!
What: The City: St Botolph's church, The Loyd's building and Leadenhall Market
When: Saturday, April 24,[masked]:00 AM
Liverpool Street Station
Most of the meet ups of late have been in museums in London mostly because of the weather being too cold to draw outside. Well its time to get back to what this group was all about: Location drawing outside in the streets, parks, squares and gutters of London and where better to start than in the heart of London itself: the city. We'll be stopping at three locations on this trip, the first is St Botolphs church where there is a quiet green space to settle down and get some drawing going, next we'll be testing our skills on the Loyd's building, - with its hodgepodge of many different geometric shapes and textures it contains within its structure, even a small section of it would make a satisfactory subject to refine those rudimentary skills. After which we'll be going to our final location the very ornate Leaden Hall Market, a tranquil sanctuary on a weekend it is a pleasant spot for drawing and offers a stall for the eyes for things to pick and draw. We'll be meeting for this sketching tour at Liverpool Street station, I'll say outside the main entrance for now - that's the one on Bishops gate until I can think of something better. Either way I'll email out my number a day or so beforehand to those that RSVP yes or maybe.
