Dream Discussion, Lucid Dreaming and Consciousness Experiences

Regular monthly meeting agenda. 2nd Wednesday of the month is our standard meetup day - see calendar.

Featured presentation of our February meetup will be:
DRAMATIC GESTALT DREAMWORK by Jeff Teachworth, Certified Gestalt Therapist
How we can re-enact our dreams in a group setting so each dreamer can better grasp the meaning from their subconscious mind. Group members will help the dreamer re-enact their dream by playing the roles of dream elements such as strangers on the street, the kitchen sink, a car, the dreamer's child, etc. Expanding the dream into physical space and having players for the dream elements, as well as the theory behind this Gestalt Dream Psychodrama technique will be demonstrated and discussed as part of the February meeting.

Discussing our dreams, ideas like shared dreams from the movie "Inception", dream interpretation, waking up inside your dreams, philosophy of life, out of body experiences, etc. Bring in your dream journal, favorite books and DVD's to show us on the subject, and come prepared to have fun and grow your dreaming ability.

Our group's reference book to continue reading together and discussing is "The Power of Creative Dreaming" by Pamela Ball. It is a very low-priced quality hard cover tome covering everything from lucid dreaming through symbolism of dreams. Order it here: Read what you can to aid in the discussion portion of the meeting.

You are welcome to bring a dream totem to each meeting, a small meaningful object to show that you associate with lucid dreaming awareness. It can be any trinket or image that inspires you to wake up inside your dreams. See the movie "Inception" for an example of totems.

We are still open to suggestions for the meeting place. Currently we meet in a private room at Piccadilly just off I-10 on Service Road at Clearview South exit (Not mandatory to eat while there.)

One inspiration for our lucid dreaming work is the web site: http://www.lucidology... - take a look and see how they break down the lucid dream/OBE techniques.

You don't have do anything, to have read the book or have attended a previous meetup to join us. You can eat before you arrive, or eat during our meetup. We have an informal and friendly group, so just drop on in...

Questions can be emailed to me, the Group Organizer, Jeff Teachworth - [masked]

Absolutely! You gave us a tool tonight we can take home and play with. "Every element of the dream is a reflection of some part of us" I believe that I've read that concept before but really didn't get it until tonight. Thanks Jeff. Now it's going to be fun a read old dreams looking at it with that new perspective. Fun!
