Subject: We Are Superman: A Documentary Film Showing at the Screenland Crossroads Fri. Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m.

All Jobs Now! members and supporters are urged to attend the Kansas City premiere of a documentary about Troost Avenue, "We are Superman" which will be featured at Screenland Crossroads, 656 Washington Street. The screening at 7:30 p.m., Friday, December 7 will be followed by a reception.  Subsequent screenings are Saturday, December 8 and Sunday, December 9 at Screenland beginning at 2:30 p.m.

We Are Superman is a documentary that takes an in depth look at what it takes to transform a community that has suffered from disinvestment for 50 years. Troost Avenue has historically been a racial and economic dividing line in Kansas City. But there is a movement to erase that divide. A movement of people who no longer believe it is up to an elected official to come and save them.
