Hi. I am a student from Architecture Association School of Architecture. Now our team is doing a research about using a system comprised with UAV (copters) as a means of fast fabrication in architecture. We prefer to use arducopter with high payload (bigger than 1kg). We are thinking about using APM kit cause it would be easier to extend the functions such as adding high precision positioning system or nozzles and it is compatible with arduino and python script.
The movement of the quadcopter that we want to achieve: 1) stable hovering 2) automatical balancing system 3) very slow and stable movement 4)using other augmentation to achieve mm lever precision 5) the possibilities of extending components and functions 6) the possibilities of using python script to control
We are planning to purchase one, and it would be really thankful if someone can share some experiences before that since the high price.:)

Great to see the drones everyone is building and thanks to RadioC.co.uk for sponsorhip.
I didn't get the speaker's name! I'd like to contact him but not all members have useful profile photos for matching names to faces so thanks if you can help 8-)
Is anybody building using 3dr's Arducopter flight controller?I can't make tonight but keen to hook up with anyone who is. I'm building an F450 flamewheel on Arducopter 2.6 and would be great to collaborate with anyone who's doing something similar.

Does it start at 7 on the dot? I'm likely to be a little later ca 7:30
Will be busy jumping out of an aeroplane unfortunately.
