Special celebration at Drong Ngur Wesley Chapel

Chokor Duchen celebrates the first turning of the wheel of Dharma. It is the day when Shakyamuni Buddha gave his first teaching following his enlightenment, on the Four Noble Truths. It is said that on this day both virtuous and non-virtuous deeds are magnified. So keeping that in mind, we can all do our best to set our mind toward the Dharma throughout our day.

Today is also the celebration of H.H. Chetsang Rinpoche's birthday, and Drupon will be leading a short meditation session followed by a brief recitation of prayers to honor the Buddha Shakyamuni. We will also recite prayers for the long life of his Holiness Chetsang Rinpoche and celebrate with cake and apple cider. If you are able to stop by we would be delighted if you can join us. Practice will begin at 7pm at Drong Ngur Jangchub Ling.
