DRUM ~ DANCE ~ CHILL (Palo Alto)

Meets the third Friday evening of every month from 8 - 9:30pm at Blue Iris Studio in Palo Alto. The first hour is spent as a drum circle, drumming, dancing, and/or just sitting and listening for those that prefer. The gathering concludes with 20 - 30 minutes of silent, seated meditation. If you have a drum, or drums, please bring them, though if you don't have any, no worries, as there are usually ones to share. This is a very laid back, informal group of drummers, dancers, and meditators. No drumming, dancing, or meditation experience is necessary. All are welcome to attend. There is a $10 recommended donation that goes towards helping support the studio and the event facilitator, which will be collected at the studio.  No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

You can either park on El Camino or turn left onto Margarita Ave. (if heading southbound on El Camino) and park there.  The studio can either be accessed from El Camino or Margarita Ave.  The studio is slightly tucked away from El Camino in the back and up the stairs on the second level.  Look for the signs for Blue Iris.

I had my drum and was heading to the meetup but I got stuck in major traffic jam in the East bay....By the time I got to the San Mateo bridge it was 8:30pm.... I was really looking forward to seeing everyone. I am sure it was a great meet-up.

It was nice last night. There were plenty of dancers and the music got very tight a couple of times.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
