Let's watch the Joy Of Djembe Drumming Ensemble perform at Jones Hall

Come join us with the Houston Symphony and friends for the first-ever Day of Music on Saturday, July 13th! This free 13-hour event will begin with a Houston Symphony family concert in the morning and end with a concert of favorite symphonic works. In between, on several different stages, hear jazz groups, rock and blues bands, ethnic ensembles, choral, classical music. The Joy of Djembe Drumming takes the stage at 12:30pm.
And if this weren’t enough, you can sample some of Houston’s finest food truck fare next door at Jones Plaza. Plenty of activities will be available for the kids, including an instrument petting zoo, harmonica clinics and crafts. This come-and-go event is the perfect way to spend a summer Saturday with friends or family. Don’t miss it! The attached link http://www.houstonsymphony.org/dayofmusic will give you the complete lineup and stage times. Hope to see you there.

Wow. What an incredible experience playing at Jones Hall!! We were treated like esteemed guests with a great lunch spread and great sound/stage setup and audience exposure for our group. Wonderful performance experience- let's do it again next year!

Pam, your flute solo was lovely. It made me visualize hummingbirds & butterflies floating around, very light, delicate, airy and utterly beautiful. Thanks!

So thankful to be a part of this group! Thanks Gregg for inspiring us to improve and work together. You have created something beautiful and meaningful. Thanks to the section leaders for their encouragement, and that goes to all in the group, as well! Still enjoying the rhythm of yesterday...

I am really excited about this event mainly because of the way our drums will sound playing there.

Hi Ruben, this meetup is an invitation to watch the performance not join in and participate. It is not a drum circle. I wasn't sure if you were clear on that. I didn't want you lug your drum downtown for nothing. Contact me if you have any further questions. Hope to see you there; take care. ~Gregg

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
