Drupal Brisbane

This months agenda:

1) Robert Wood will present "Decoupling the CMS" - and dealing with changing content architecture and strategy in the mobile era.

2) Quick introductions around the room.

3) Cameron Green will present "Drupal 7 Testing" - A rundown on a strategy for complete testing.

4) Venue discussion.

5) Go1 case study by Daniel or Chris.

6) Lightning talks (if any)

Tonight's meeting will still be at Irish Murphy's pub. However the organising team has progressed the work on options for alternative venue.

Given that there are six strong options that have been presented - all with differing degrees of limitations - we decided it was best to stay with our current venue - Irish Murphy's - until we can get clear sounding on which limitations are most problematic and which we can live with.

We've now developed the poll that was mentioned at last month's meeting - allowing voting/weighting on which criteria are most important and which are least important.

So here is the poll which we invite you to complete as soon as possible:-

And here is the link to view responses so far.

We'll outline what the six specific options are at tonight's meeting - and we can decide together a timeline for closing the poll and progressing the decision (hopefully by the end of the month!!??).

Many thanks to Robert and Cameron for great presentation last night. So far 16 people have completed the poll on what is important in selecting a venue. Those links again:-

I got a $75 fine for parking where I always park. Googled it and found the council removed free night parking last month. If we move the meeting location we should tell Irish Murphies that this is one of the reasons they are loosing our business.

Yeah, I was a bit annoyed that the free parking is now paid. I thought it was 2 months ago though. I usually park near Charlotte street, so might be a different area to you.

Do you know if there any action on the excellent venue research conducted right after the last meetup? The main option was to move to the BCC library on 2nd or 3rd Tuesday of the month. Might have lost this opportunity if no action was taken. Refer to http://groups.drupal.org/node/289288#comment[masked]
