Drupal Brisbane

This is going to be an exciting mix!

David Peterson's presentation,  "Pitching Drupal with a killer demo", is great for new comers to Drupal, and also to Drupal aficionados . It is a demonstration that shows how powerful and flexible Drupal is, and also, how to pitch it to your audience. If you wanted to know what Drupal is, or how to present it to people who are new to its wonders, this is THE Meetup to attend.

To take the evening further, and to demonstrate some of the exciting ways that Drupal can be extended, Stuart Rowlands, from the University of Queensland, will demonstrate two powerful modules:

• Inception: drag and drop interface for Display Suite

• Central Things: storage of Content Types / Taxonomies / Drupal-created content in a central triplestore for shared consumption between many sites

What is the result? A very cool way of sharing content over hundreds of sites, or just a few.

6.30pm Beer and pizza - gold-coin cash donations help cover costs of these.

Thanks all for the kind words, much appreciated. Hopefully next time I present the modules will be up on for all to use.

If there were any further questions feel free to post them here, or email me directly.

Great presentations from both speakers. The work that Stuart and his colleagues are doing at UQ is really groundbreaking. Great stuff!

I agree. The shared content and content types/vocabs repository using Semantic Web technology was great. I can't wait to get my hands on this module! Happy to assist with that process.

Thanks Stuart - gotcha! I use DS a lot so could be interesting. Central Storage could be good also - I recreate everything all the time although I know there's 'features' out there tat could do it but haven't quite got into that.

Are these two powerful modules listed in somewhere?? Can't seem to find them to have a look over - or they not actually 'modules'?
