What would you most like to get out of joining this group?

Meet other shopkeepers to talk drupal. Ideally get Drupal Commerce working. It's taken me years because of bad concentration. So I am unusual, but other shopkeepers with better concentration use it on other things, thinking about what they sell & how they sell it, rather than thinking about information technology. So I am like other shopkeepers in not having a lot of time or concentration to think about Drupal. If I can help make Drupal work for shopkeepers by saying where the instructions don't make sense, I'm happy to help & hopefully make it work for other shopkeepers. I hope programmers don't mind that I can't evengelise for something that does not yet start to work for me, nor evangelise about details while I'm stuck at the beginning of the process. By the way, I think about shoes most of the time. If anyone wants to start a shoe technology meetup I might come-along.

Introduction

http://veg-buildl... : my blog about trying to make Drupal Commerce work. I'm a shopkeeper with too little back-of-the-mind memory / concentration for this. I get stuck on ambiguities of video training that other people overcome.

What John R. is saying about this Meetup Group

Good - thanks! Oh, there was a request for feeback on what works. For teaching basics, I suggest a structure of following the nodeone.se videos, so that someone who has got started on the night can carry-on through the series of instructions through the month and maybe say where they have got stuck at the next months' meeting or by web post or some such. Likewise for the specialist discussions, a walk-though with a projected screen is always welcome: I don't know if that requires someone to buy another projector or if the Hub has some more of them.
