Walk for Farm Animals

Dear Friends,
As I had posted earlier in the discussion board, there is a walk organized by Farm Sanctuary in Lincoln Park, Chicago. Some of you may be concerned that we are taking activism back to the city where there is no dearth thereof; please be assured that our focal point will remain local. Since there are many of us who are new to activism including me, I thought this would be a good opportunity to learn from others and to explore the possibility of hosting such events locally. This also gives us a chance to meet with Gene Baur, the founder of Farm Sanctuary and have fun in what appears to be like a great event. Thanks to Amie for suggesting this event.
Btw, you get an early bird price if you register with them before the day of the event. For more information please check out the link below:

Warm Regards,

oops, my bad. I hope some organizations come out yonder to DuPage. Is this going to be more of an important information type of site than a meetup per say? Please advise. Thanks

Hi Lori, this walk is in Lincoln Park, Chicago. I understand your concern about the location of the event. Like I mentioned in my earlier email, please be assured that we are going to be doing activism in the DuPage area. Since some of us are new to activism we are testing the waters by meeting new people, understanding the logistics and exploring the possibility of emulating it locally. I hope I addressed your concern, if not please feel free to email or call me. My number is[masked]
