6 challengers. 4 knee injuries. 4 completed the 3 peaks challenge in 26 hours. Estimated time 14 hours hiking, 10 hours driving. Actual time 13.5 hours hiking, 12.5 hours driving! Broken, battered and bruised. Hardest thing I've ever had to do so far but what an unforgettable experience. Well done to all involved. Thanks for being a part of it. Might try again in 2 years time when I manage to get over the pain!

Hi guys. So we're finally booked in with Maximum Adventure for the challenge. I waited weeks for the other company to get back to me but had to do something with less than a month left! Luckily got it for the same price of £349... only... they won't be providing food or water. The good thing is they will pick us up from the airport at around 9pm. He recommended us to do the 7am start so we can do the harder hikes in daylight. Once I booked us accommodation after the challenge I'll let you know what's outstanding :) One step closer!!! Oh and btw there will be 2 people from UK joining us. One is Dec's cuz and the other is someone he recruited from the 3 peaks challenge fb group. Well done Dec

Ok so accommodation booked for Holyhead on 4th August. We got quite an early check in at 8am so they're charging us extra at £25 each. We can pay on the day. You will also need £12 I think for the bus from Bangor to Holyhead. They can only provide us transport from Snowdon to Bangor after the challenge. Bus to Holyhead is at 8.25 on Sunday. Next one is at 10am so hopefully we'll finish on time :)

Just a heads up guys that I will be needing the remaining balance at the end of the month. I have to book us in whether we get enough numbers or not. If we don't I'll have to book us in their open bus challenge and we'll have to organise transport before and after 3 peaks ourselves which means additional cost. Price of the open bus challenge is £320. I'll check how much you've paid so far and email you what your outstanding balance is. Are people looking to do the optional extra - underground adventure at all or challenge extreme? I doubt I'd be able for the gorge scrambling but the underground challenge/challenge extreme looks easy enough. Links for these activities are located above

No worries JB. I'm up for the extra challenges. I'm not sure I'll be up for the scrambling though !

      1 · June 18, 2013

    • Ingrida

No problem Jb, just text me how much I owe you. I won't do any extra activity though as I don't think I'll have enough energy left for that...

Is there some way to re-announce the trip to the group ?

      May 30, 2013

    • Jb M.

I've just tried to re-announce it there. Gonna have to wait and see

Ok guys. I've made a few changes to the itinerary and estimated price. I'm going to book flights and accommodation soon. We also need to pay 20% deposit by end of this month and full price at the end of June (currently negotiating with them). If you'd like me to book you in too email me and I'll send you my paypal and bank account details.

    May 22, 2013

    • Jb M.

Apologies for the late notice. If you can't afford it I just need the 20% deposit (€85.00) to guarantee your place. You can then book the flights and accommodation yourself. I've to book mine at the end of the month to apply for my visa

      May 22, 2013

  • Jb M.

Ok so Declan from the Dublin Hillwalking group advised me that it's better to do this during the summer. It gets harder with less light, poor weather conditions and chance of snow during winter. What do you guys think?

    1 · March 23, 2013

    • Dec K.

Paul , we're looking at doing it on the August bank holiday weekend !!!
      You still interested ?

      1 · May 20, 2013

    • PaulW

Hi Declan, I'm still interested but I need to take a quick look at the challenge again and just make sure it's doable for me, it's been a while since I've been out on the mountains ;)

  • Aisling

Sounds fab!!! I all those adventures are amazing; but I think I would prefer to do them over a longer period of time

    1 · February 17, 2013

Lol it does sound hectic. Could add another day to it? I'm happy to take suggestions

      February 17, 2013

    • Jb M.

The more days added.. the more expensive it gets you see
